Another week has gone by and now the @TheSEA attendees have started to gather around RC’s spot in anticipation as they are now very much hooked on finding out
WHAT. HAPPENS. NEXT.
There is murmuring and many side conversations with motioning towards the screen (a SHEET hung up near the tree for projecting images).
The BOOMBOX JUKEBOX had been playing RC the STORYTELLER’s “theme song” — “Get Ready for This” which is usually accompanied by images of MR SQUEEK the DOORKAT / BREAK DANCING KAT doing his thing.

And then… The music fades. The audience naturally hushes while attention is focused on RC’s spot… but he isn’t there… yet.
The BOOMBOX JUKEBOX is NOW playing another catchy tune now… lyrics are projected on the screen.

The image on the screen changes to that of a napkin with words and images.
Houdini Hound & Joy…
And from the back of the group, with the voice of a GAME SHOW HOST, these words are heard…

RC! Tell ‘em what he won!
The image on screen now dissolves to the SKETCH of THE WORLD OF JOY which it holds of several “beats” before switching to a very nice “SLIDE” (PPT) version of the same image.

More murmuring as the gatherers study the screen.

Well guys! Not to jump right in or anything… but how about if… I jump right in?

Alrightly then… First true to my name, a REWIND.
The slide appears that shows the SNAPSHOT of HOUDINI HOUND’s odyssey.
See. Spot. Snapshot.
RC THE STORYTELLER
Miraculously? Perhaps… we’ll talk about that another time. For now we’ll just say that thanks to the arrival of THE NIWASHI, the HOUDINI HOUND found temporary accommodations in…
He points to the screen.
RC THE STORYTELLER
THE WORLD OF JOY…
Joy for him…
LISTENER IN THE SHADOWS
Huh? Isn’t … the lady’s van… the rescue… a joy for the hound?
RC smiles…
RC THE STORYTELLER
An astute observation… and truthfully… yes… However, dig this…
There’s a close up of the neighborhood SLIDE and RC points.

In the neighborhood where THE HOUND landed… resides a lady named… JOY… for real.

The NIWASHI just so happens to live in a very cute neighborhood… tree-lined streets… a mix that includes PALM trees — shout out to California dreamin… and…
More close ups on particular aspects of the slide…
RC THE STORYTELLER
Super-friendly people … the neighbors… like … so kind and warm and… Like CHEERS — village edition… yeah that’s it… a super friendly village that’s welcoming … like wired for hospitality.
A lot of bobbing heads and murmuring.
And that’s what HOUDINI HOUND won… a home stay in THE WORLD OF JOY…

And that’s what HOUDINI HOUND won… a home stay in THE WORLD OF JOY… a world where BELLY RUBS and smiles are readily available…

Sarcasm noted, the others jump in.

Focus is now shifted away from the screen (as it fades out) and RC lays out the story game plan.
RC THE STORYTELLER
Happy Hound had a truly delightful stay with THE NIWASHI… in the WORLD OF JOY… what he won… HOWEVER…
The audience starts to groan…
RC THE STORYTELLER
You recall from last time… the only way THE NIWASHI got sign-off from her husband on the arrangement… the HOMESTAY HOUND… was… a DEADLINE for placement. They were FOSTERING in search of… FOREVER HOME. Else… a SHELTER was in the HOUND’s future.
AUDIENCE IN UNISON
Aww….
AUDIENCE MEMBER 3
… Kind of like LUCY pulling the FOOTBALL away from CHARLIE BROWN… How sad …
AUDIENCE IN UNISON
Aww…
LISTENER IN THE SHADOWS
Sad! You’re making it sound like… JOY NOT JOY…
RC THE STORYTELLER
It was, as they say, touch-and-go as the NIWASHI had to toe the line with her family while also wanting so badly to do right by the HOUND that once scrubbed… was actually a completely different colour than when she first met him… a beautiful shiny coat… a remarkable… Let’s just say… for the NIWASHI… that just made the situation…
RC shakes his head.
Emotionally, the audience is kinda down too.
Noted… the BOOMBOX JUKEBOX “pumps up some jams” to shift the mood while RC deftly adapts his approach — Quickly throwing up a slide…

The Slides created by Former Suit KATIE are projected on the screen, but are mostly ignored as the gatherers @TheSEA, in the spirit of the song, are “Dancin’ the night away… Keepin’ movin’ holding their drinks up…” are now motivating in the direction of the TACO TRUCK.
And off to the side, KIMBA THE DRIVER (AKA Kimberly the Happy Barista) is standing with two big rectangular boxes, which she lifts and waves at RC. Smiling, he follows her to the kitchen area.
RC THE STORYTELLER
Wow! You did it!
KIMBA THE DRIVER
Yeah… A little scary on The 17 this time of day… but yeah.
She opens one of the boxes and RC takes a peek.
RC THE STORYTELLER
You scored! Got the heart shaped ones…
KIMBA THE DRIVER
Yup! MR SQUEEK told me you became acquainted with these during your visit to THE WORLD OF JOY. I’ve never seen HEART-SHAPED churros before…
RC THE STORYTELLER
Think we can serve as is?
Kimba’s smile gets even bigger.
KIMBA THE DRIVER
Follow me!
They walk towards the back of the BREW PUB where a USED TURBOCHEF is perched on a stainless steel cart.
Used TurboChef…
RC’s eyeballs nearly pop out of his head.
RC THE STORYTELLER
What the…?
KIMBA THE DRIVER
Client… Driver gig… lent it to us. It was collecting dust in his restaurant supply shop. Total score!
RC THE STORYTELLER
Whoa! These are supposed to be magical…
KIMBA THE DRIVER
I’m curious to play…
RC THE STORYTELLER
Me too!
He moves closer to the MAGICAL OVEN and Kimba does a re-direct — pointing towards the Taco Truck.
KIMBA THE DRIVER
Pretty sure your PEEPs are looking for you… it’s TACO DAY … They know you HEART…
RC bows and moves in the Truck’s direction and then turns around. She motions for him to keep going.
KIMBA THE DRIVER
These will fire up fast… The beauty of the TURBO. Be there in a jiffy…
Passing RC is the friendly Brew Pub Worker.

You made it. Let’s fire ‘em up… Split the first to test, yes?
KIMBA THE DRIVER
