It’s SHOWTIME @TheSEA!
The @TheSEA attendees have started to gather around RC’s spot in anticipation as they are now very much hooked on finding out
WHAT. HAPPENS. NEXT.
For this particular @TheSEA session, RC and his support team (that would be HAPPY BARISTA/UBER DRIVER KIMBA and Former Suit Ms KATIE) recommended that he do a bit of a REWIND while also… laying groundwork. We’re talking about, going back to go forward.
A reminder…
What’s essential… The Role of DING!…
No only was the DING!THING experienced by HAPPY BARISTA/UBER DRIVER KIMBA leveraged as part of the opener… but also Ms Katie’s own DING! happened (and was incorporated). Upon returning from one of her seaside runs, she had an idea of her own… a vision that wouldn’t go away until she jotted it down and raced to look up.
DING! THERE IT IS!!

DISSOLVE TO:
EXT. WESTSIDE BREW PUB
So when the time came to get folks motivating towards RC’s corner @TheSEA, a video appeared on the screen with its magnificent score: LION KING
The piece runs nearly 5-minutes. The audience for sure, emotionally engaged by the end.
When it fades out, the spotlight hits RC THE STORYTELLER and he begins.
RC THE STORYTELLER
Wow! Right, guys? Powerful… powerful stuff. And powerfully appropriate for this stage of the HOUDINI HOUND story…
I know. I know. We had an abrupt end last session… but all things happen for a reason. You… WE got to experience the joy of…
Heart-Shaped Churro…
On the screen is a picture of the HEART-SHAPED CHURRO. He points and rubs his belly.
RC THE STORYTELLER
Right?
AUDIENCE IN UNISON
Ummmmmm…
RC THE STORYTELLER
Funny enough, to make those so… YUMMY, the POWER was… (air quotes) “Killed” from our corner. And you… YOU got to experience the JOY of THE TURBO CHEF! For sure, new to me — and what a fantastic… (pause) You guys… You wouldn’t know that THOSE fine CHURROS came from a shop over the hill and were made easily 3-to-4 hours before they hit your hands…
LISTENER IN THE SHADOWS
So what? Like is this an infomercial for TURBO CHEF OVENS? Come on now?
AUDIENCE IN UNISON
Shhhhh!
RC laughs.
RC THE STORYTELLER
Ah! You came back Mr Shadows guy… To keep me on my toes, right? (pause)… Okay, MY POINT, circling back, of course… is THE CIRCLE OF LIFE THING.
Audience murmurs.
RC THE STORYTELLER
You see… if anyone GETS the concept of the CIRCLE OF LIFE, it WOULD BE… The NIWASHI… HOUDINI HOUND’s FOSTER…
He pauses letting the words and adjacent thoughts sink in. Then these WORDS appear on the screen:
SCREEN WORDS
…From the day we arrive on the planet
And, blinking, step into the sun
There’s more to see than can ever be seen…
There’s far too much to take in here
More to find than can ever be found
But the sun rolling high
Through the sapphire sky
Keeps great and small on the endless round…
It’s the circle of life… And it moves us all… Through despair and hope …Through faith and love…
‘Til we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the circle
The circle of life…
‘Til we find our place… In the circle… The circle of life…
And the last line RC repeats.
RC THE STORYTELLER
You see… the NIWASHI lives this CIRCLE of LIFE… It’s what she does… the nurturing of PLANTS and FLOWERS… ANNUALS and PERENNIALS… She is very familiar with the prOcess.
He pause and takes a sip from a SMART WATER located off to the side.
Then he points and the BREWPUB WORKER fires up the projector again. This time… the IMAGES are from THE LITTLE PRINCE.
It’s a selection from a LAY-FLAT edition.
He let’s a short video run and then steps up again.
The Little Prince…
RC THE STORYTELLER
A kind reminder as well: What’s essential is invisible to the eyes…
He pauses for a beat and the group is silent… taking it all in.
And then, the BOOMBOX takes over.
BOOMBOX BY JEDEMI
…I’m Ready for this, there’s no denying.
I’m ready for this, you stop me falling.
I’m ready for this, I need you all in.
I’m ready for this, so darling hold my hand…
With a huge smile on his face, RC steps aside as now the music video that matches these lyrics begins to play.
Noticing KIMBA THE DRIVER among the gatherers, he moves in her direction. As he approaches, he sees the huge smile on her face.
RC THE STORYTELLER
Did ya score?
KIMBA
Smell your nose…
She points and he let’s out an exclamation that gets the attention of the gatherers.
LISTENER IN THE SHADOWS
What are you doin’ Guy? Wanna share with the class??
RC THE STORYTELLER
Busted! I know. I know.
LISTENER IN THE SHADOWS
Yes… and…?
Meat on a stick!!
RC THE STORYTELLER
Back by popular demand… YAKITORI MAN! Firing up meat on a stick… Smell it?
AUDIENCE IN UNISON
Ummm…
RC THE STORYTELLER
That’s a Wrap for today, okay? You’ve got your ponderables… Circle of Life AND Taming… Let’s leave it at that.

He bows and points towards the FOOD TRUCK AREA.

As the audience files away towards the FOOD TRUCK AREA and Kimba hands RC a FEELS GUD pint. They toast and the music continues.
