Welcome to another Yosh! post!
This one was inspired by an advertising phrase for Turtle Wax that seems to fit for the reasoning behind establishing a “DBRs Routine”…
So without further ado, let us proceed, shall we?? —The Gang
Note: We introduced “Yosh” in the post.
The Japanese word “Yosh” is used in manga to convey, “Alright, let’s go!” Or as they say in Katie’s household: “Go means go!”
Above is a short clip that says what we’re saying (and demonstrating): For sure, “yosh” is spontaneous and energetic—a verbal burst of enthusiasm or resolve. We believe if you embrace the DragonBustR Way and it becomes a Way of Life (interwoven), you may find yourself bursting with enthusiasm and resolve.
Now on with the story!
And so it was that one day, Happy Puppy KEE-RA saw his opening. His “Mama”, Suit-in-Transition MEREDITH was up pounding away on her keyboard after a “fitful” overnight quote-unquote rest period.
Running around the house, getting his stretch on, he noticed his RAZR phone was vibrating. Let’s listen in to find out WHAT. HAPPENS. NEXT…
RAZR beckons…
FADE IN:
INT. MEREDITH’S HOUSE
The curious Kee-Ra opens up the RAZR. The message was from his pal RC the Gremlin / Storyteller.
Actually, there were two messages with links.
A “vintage Turtle Wax” advertisement that emphasizes “hard shell finish” that protects it like a garage…
The print edition…
Kee-Ra watches and tilts his head.
KEE-RA
Uh… interesting, but how does it… ?
So he scrolls to the next message.
This one, another YouTube link, goes to a slide show which he watches closely.
Self-running Slideshow…
KEE-RA
Ah! I think I understand.
Just as he’s about to close the RAZR, another message arrives.
TEXT MESSAGE
R is for Routine. Routine => Tommy the Turtle = hard shell finish that clients can’t permeate.
Please to share…
…Ah! I DO understand. Gotcha!
KEE-RA
Ah! I DO understand. Gotcha!
And now to the “opening” that was mentioned…
Kee-Ra noticed that somehow, the YouTube slide show magically appeared on the outside of the closed RAZR.
KEE-RA
Perfect!
So he silently enters his Mama’s home office to observe and then… Zoomies take over.
The RAZR becomes a hockey puck, and Kee-Ra gently bats it about.
Meredith looks up and then back at her computer — pounding away.
So Kee-Ra kicks it up a notch…
KEE-RA
On a breakaway… The windup… The shot… One-timer… Hits the post! Races in for the…
Before the words “deflection” get out of his mouth, Meredith picks up the RAZR and eyes it with curiosity.
She sees the PLAY ARROW on the RAZR’s outside screen and hits it… Watching it all the way through before opening up the RAZR to play it again…
Kee-Ra is smiling.
Kee-Ra is smiling…
KEE-RA
S-c-o-r-e-!-!-!
MEREDITH
Whoa… How’d you…?
KEE-RA
It’s that mystery thing, Mama… Dare not disobey…
MEREDITH
Always like it when you talk “Little Prince” to me…
KEE-RA
S-go-den!!
Meredith looks at Kee-Ra who’s beckoning her out of the office. Glancing back at her computer screen, she smiles.
MEREDITH
Yeah, let’s…
KEE-RA
Make like a banana and split?
A “rumbly” noise is heard. They both look down at their mid-section-belly.
MEREDITH
Me?
KEE-RA
Me?
MEREDITH
Kitchen then… a snack and then … walk feets, yes?
KEE-RA
Yeah, Mama! You know what I always say…
MEREDITH
Uh… a lot you say…
Points to the computer screen.
MEREDITH
Oh… right… Clients can wait.
…CLIENTS. CAN. WAIT.
KEE-RA
And also… What will BE… BEs…
MEREDITH
Right… Out of our control, it is. Good reminder. Let’s go!
DISSOLVE TO:
EXT. WORLD OF JOY – THE ‘HOOD
And so it was that Happy Puppy Kee-Ra guided his Mama, MEREDITH, on a nature walk through their neighborhood where they enjoyed the sights & smells … waving to others they encountered while also talking out the SLIDE DECK via YouTube.

Clever delivery mechanism you and your pal conjured up…
Kee-Ra’s tale is wagging a million miles a minute while also jumping up and down.
RAZR INSIDE…
KEE-RA
Good points, yes?
MEREDITH
R is for ROUTINE. Routine includes 3Rs… and dedicated… diligent… daily… application of said ROUTINE equals…
Kee-Ra motions like the swooping TOMMY THE TURTLE…
MEREDITH
Hard shell finish…
KEE-RA
You gotta do what you gotta do… to pay bills and add value to your clients… AND ALSO… play a bit of keep-away…

MEREDITH
Ah! Hard shell finish… born from ROUTINE… KEEPS them from getting in MY way… as I journey along figuring out my VALUE ADD to the world.
KEE-RA
That’s it, Mama! Transcend… Get to … Higher Ground…
MEREDITH
Stevie!
KEE-RA
Yup! Chili Peppers too !!
They pause to FIST-PAW bump… and then pick up the pace.
After a few blocks of silence, Meredith speaks up.
MEREDITH
That’s it!
Kee-Ra gives her a look.
MEREDITH
When we get back, please FORWARD that Text with the link to me… Gotta idea!
DINGTHING!!
DISSOLVE TO:
INT. MEREDITH’S HOUSE
Meredith is looking at her phone and then opens up her calendar. She adds “AN EVENT” with an invite and then…
“PING!” it appears on Kee-Ra’s RAZR.
And with that, Meredith disappears to change clothes.
TEXT MESSAGE
Play date! JEDEMI !!
Kee-Ra reads the message and starts dancing.
KEE-RA
Yup! Clients can wait… !!
FADE OUT.

That’s a Wrap!
And that’s how Meredith got the reminder– a Covey-ian “First Thing’s FIRST!” along with a strong NUDGE to leverage the DragonBustR ROUTINE to build up an impenetrable core… essential for her personal JOURNEY.
Happy Puppy Kee-Ra continues dancing around smiling …
