NoNo Promo a Go!

When Clayton Kershaw of the Los Angeles Dodgers threw his no-hitter on my birthday, I knew I was witnessing something special. Listening to Vin Scully describe the scene (caught the last 3 innings) was a treat.

And speaking of treats, the timing worked out for me to be able to get in on Domino’s “NoNo” promo (#DomiNoNo).

Seeing an email blast from MLB about it, I had the entry page (MLB.com/dominono) up and refreshed at the noon hour to be able to get in the queue to be among the 20,000 eligible subscribers who were emailed a promotion code, which code for a free medium two-topping Handmade Pan Pizza.

Aha! 1 of 20,000!

Aha! 1 of 20,000!

  • Limit one (1) code per eligible subscriber, per No-Hitter, while supplies last.
  • Codes must be claimed and redeemed within 5 days starting 12 noon PDT on the first business day following the No-Hitter.

I wrote about the promo last year.  It was nice to be able to experience it ESPECIALLY since Kershaw did it on my birthday.

So here’s the path to the pizza.

The Path to Free Pizza.

The Path to Free Pizza.

The coupons were snatched up fast too.  You can read about it here.

Note:  Since the promotion is valid after each of the first two no-hitters of the 2014 and 2015 MLB seasons, this might be it. Kershaw’s teammate, Josh Beckett triggered the first giveaway when he threw a no-hitter for the Dodgers on Memorial Day weekend.

Confirmed by this statement from Domino’s Pizza spokesperson, Chris Brandon:

“Domino’s is thrilled to recognize and celebrate one of the great achievements in sports — the no-hitter — by continuing this very cool partnership with MLB.com.  This is now bigger and better as we prepare to give away 40,000 pizzas both seasons, and make it easier for all baseball fans to get in on the excitement.”

The promotion will kick in again after the first two no-hitters of next season.

Also noteble, since 1901, there have been 236 no-hitters. That averages to a little more than two per season. There have been at least two no-hitters in each season since 2006.

Good for Domino’s.  They got me to try their pizza and I just may visit them again.
