A post on “ancient” typewriters (typewriters that were used by 9 famous writers), caught my eye.
It included a picture of the gold plated portable that Ian Flemming (the creator of the James Bond series), Hemingway’s Royal Arrow, Steinbeck’s Hermes Baby, and the typewriter used by Apple Mac user, Douglas Adams, to write the Hitchhikers Guide, before there were such things as Apple Macs.
The post appeared in a design blog all about technology called Oobject . Featured on that site are hundreds of lists of unusual or interesting gadgets which are ranked by user votes, much like music charts.
