This actually is like the opening act for RC The STORYTELLER’s next @TheSEA session. Building from an idea kicked around in the previous POST, it’s SHOWTIME for Spin-to-Win! But… “What Win??” A topic of discussion @TheSEA venue, let’s listen in! —The Gang

And so it happened that RC the STORYTELLER with help from MR SQUEEK and HAPPY BARISTA / DRIVER KIMBA quickly pulled together the WHEEL of OPTIONS.
They had some help, unbeknownst to them, as a certain GROUP of regulars from the JEDEMI CAFE (over the hill) decided to spend some time on THE WESTSIDE.
We pick up the action about an hour or so before showtime @TheSEA. There’s a tree not far from where RC stands to do his thing and in it, are THE GANG’s core four: JOEY, DOC, FRANNIE & DOSSIE.
DISSOLVE TO:
EXT. WESTSIDE BREW PUB -TREE
FRANNIE
It’s nice over here.
JOEY
Yeah… The venue… Perfect for storytelling.
DOSSIE
The heaters… Modern day fireplace…
DOC
Ah! Looks like… Yup, they did it. The WHEEL is in place.
They all look closely and see a SPIN-THE-WHEEL with a twist.
DOSSIE
The PRIZES… BREW PUB oriented?
FRANNIE
I see… Yes, some from that BERDEL’s too.
JOEY
You’re right!
DOC
Right round that is…! They’ll spin right round for FABULOUS prizes to get them used to…
He points to the wheel and makes a spin motion.
DOSSIE
Ah… And since every spot is a WINNER of some sort…
FRANNIE
They’ll know that the STORY selected will be a WINNER too…
DOC
A wee bit o TAMING as…
JOEY
…That’s what we do.
DISSOLVE TO:
EXT. WESTSIDE BREW PUB – RC’S CORNER
Standing close to the SPIN WHEEL is RC the STORYTELLER and KIMBA (Happy Barista/Driver).
KIMBA THE DRIVER
Picked it up this morning. Like the placement?
RC THE STORYTELLER
Can you… see it from the back?
KIMBA THE DRIVER
Well… let’s not worry about the SHADOWS guy. We’ll go for entertaining the attention of the rest and…
RC THE STORYTELLER
Hang on, my friend. That wheel… It’s showing… PRIZES?!
KIMBA THE DRIVER
To borrow on short notice, had to make it a WIN-WIN. Oh… and no worries as there’ll be TWO SPIN WHEELS.
RC THE STORYTELLER
Huh?
KIMBA THE DRIVER
Told our pal KATIE when she swung by the C&C. She’s super stoked. Took pictures and…
Kimba pulls out her phone to show RC.
KIMBA
This is the mockup. See?
RC studies the picture.
RC THE STORYTELLER
Snazzy! You think she can…?
…I know we can improvise… YOU can improvise…
KIMBA
It’s a quick turn… but I know we can improvise… YOU can improvise.
RC THE STORYTELLER
You just throw down a challenge?
KIMBA
Sure, why not. And for now, let’s focus on getting them hooked on the ROUND-ROUND in hand… stay in the present.
RC THE STORYTELLER
Profound! Like it! Okay… so let’s see what’s on our PRESENT wheel.
He studies and nods.
RC THE STORYTELLER
Indeed a fabulous balance of BERDELs and our wonderful BREW PUB host and… YAKITORI MAN??
KIMBA THE DRIVER
He kindly played along. Which reminds me…
Kimba points to two grocery bags placed on the bench nearby.
RC THE STORYTELLER
Yes…??
KIMBA THE DRIVER
Cool idea from Ms Katie’s GEAR GUY.
RC opens one of the bags.
RC THE STORYTELLER
Bagels? Like BAGELRY bagels?
KIMBA THE DRIVER
Apparently CAMPER CHEESE BAGELs are a thing in GEAR GUY’s world. When he goes off on one of his expeditions, he swings by and picks up a bunch of DAY OLDS… which he kindly asks them to slice.
RC THE STORYTELLER
Interesting… For the cheese??
Camper Cheese!!
KIMBA THE DRIVER
He swears by CLASSIC KRAFT SINGLES… which can be had like amazingly cheap at COSTCO. His flat CAMPER GRILL TOP can do like 6 at a time. Figure, sliced bite size like we did with the PIZZA and… we can fill many mouths…
RC THE STORYTELLER
And boats… You still got food trays, right?
KIMBA THE DRIVER
Yup.
RC THE STORYTELLER
Sounds yummy. As for the prOcess, this I gotta see…
Yeah… BAGELRY SGA @TheSEA could be a winner…
KIMBA THE DRIVER
Yeah… BAGELRY SGA @TheSEA could be a winner.
RC THE STORYTELLER
Sure our fine hosts here would come up with a suitable pairing…
They fold up the bag after RC slips one out for himself.
RC THE STORYTELLER
Can’t resist… Besides, STORYTELLER’s gotta eat.
KIMBA THE DRIVER
Driver too!!
She pulls one out just as one of the BREWPUB WORKERS swings by.
KIMBA THE DRIVER
Perfect timing. Can we borrow your toaster oven thingie?…
BREWPUB WORKER
BAGELRY! A heat-up… Gotcha! Follow me.
Kimba grabs a bag, leaving the other behind.
KIMBA THE DRIVER
BRB Buddy!
And then to the KIND BREWPUB WORKER…
KIMBA THE DRIVER
These are for you guys… our kind hosts… If any are leftover after RC’s session, bring ‘em along as we have a CAMPER CHEESE SPECIAL planned.
BREWPUB WORKER
Sounds yummy!
CUT TO:
EXT. WESTSIDE BREW PUB -TREE
The JEDEMI GANG is still hanging out — observing the goings-on @TheSEA.
FRANNIE
Looks like the stage is set, so to speak.
DOC
Covered the bases in case LADY KATIE doesn’t finish the wheel in time.
FRANNIE
CAMPER CHEESE BAGELS?
DOC
Such an irresistible draw…
JOEY
The story, no matter which one “WINS” out, will be irresistible as well… with MR SQUEEK having a key role in each. Thanks for reminding me, Doc!
FRANNIE
This is going to be fun!
DOSSIE
Indeed!
Meanwhile, Doc is singing to himself and then ups his own volume
DOC
Round, round get around. He gets around… All over the town…
DOSSIE
Uh… I think he’s on about… our MR SQUEEK.
DOC
…Up and down the strip where the kids are hip…
FRANNIE
Can we… MUTE that?
And indeed, like magic, the sound of the BOOMBOX can be heard. It’s an INSTRUMENTAL version of FLO-RIDA’s RIGHT ROUND.
FADE OUT.
