The @TheSEA attendees have gathered awaiting their STORY fix, if you will, as they are now very much hooked on finding out WHAT. HAPPENS. NEXT.
As they wait, the BOOMBOX JUKEBOX is playing.
BOOMBOX JUKEBOX
I gotta feelin…
Tonight’s gonna be a good night.
Tonight’s gonna be a good, good night…
For sure, it is setting the tone for what awaits.
RC the STORYTELLER is off to the side observing. Then he is tapped on the shoulder by former SUIT, Lady KATIE.
KATIE
Ya ready?
RC THE STORYTELLER
Actually, the question is… are YOU ready?
KATIE
All systems are GO! Told ya. Done this a thousand times. Anyway… Ready to PROJECT when you… give me the signal.
RC THE STORYTELLER
Okay… Cool… Do me a favor and fade out the music and I’ll get started.
KATIE
Copy that!
And so it begins… that evening’s @TheSEA session.
RC THE STORYTELLER
Welcome! (pauses)
I… I gotta feelin… that TONIGHT’s gonna be…
AUDIENCE MEMBER 1
A good night?
AUDIENCE IN UNISON
A good, good night?
LISTENER IN THE SHADOWS
Whatever… let’s go!
AUDIENCE IN UNISON
Shhhhh! Quiet you!
RC looks over the audience and continues…
RC THE STORYTELLER
You know… This is a JOURNEY for all of us… There’s anticipation… For WHAT…
AUDIENCE IN UNISON
HAPPENS. NEXT…
RC THE STORYTELLER
Right. But also, that feeling … a wonderment… sort of energizing and… like… you gain a bounce in your step. Ya know what I mean…?
AUDIENCE IN UNISON
Yeah!
RC THE STORYTELLER
I guess… that’s the power of stories. Something you don’t want to forget or take for granted…
He looks over at Katie and then continues.
RC THE STORYTELLER
A few folks I know have started embracing MANGA as their sort of mini-escapes… Mini journeys…
And… From what I’ve witnessed… They come back from their READING BREAK… energized.
Heads are nodding.
LISTENER IN THE SHADOWS
Break? Probably… The caffeine or sugar snack, right?
AUDIENCE IN UNISON
Shhhh!
RC motions that he’s got this.
RC THE STORYTELLER
Sustainable boost is what I see… Operating on … let’s just call it a higher plane for a longer period of time… well beyond a snack break / coffee break boost.
AUDIENCE IN UNISON
Yeah! Gotcha!
RC THE STORYTELLER
Okay… So where was… Oh yeah…
RC gets back on track when he sees Katie drawing letters in the air — simulating his skywriting experience.
RC THE STORYTELLER
Right… Thanks…
I most recently… became acquainted with a fantastic word: REVIGORER [rolling the R: re-vig-or-eh]…
Mind you, I didn’t know the word, but it had me curious… and curious is like a driver for journeys and adventures, right?

So a friend helped me out…
RC holds up his SLABBY THING while simultaneously KATIE projects a SLIDE on the SCREEN.
RC THE STORYTELLER
This is so you all get a VISUAL…
RC THE STORYTELLER
You see… Upon GOOGLING, that … is the FRENCH word for INVIGORATE… which really means energize… though I imagine you’ve heard it in the context of… say COLD PLUNGES and the like.
The gatherers are laughing. One near the front is mock-shivering.
RC THE STORYTELLER
I guess, perhaps that’s why this week I’ve come to embrace REVIGORER as the … sort of ELIXAR resulting from STORYTELLING …
In particular, stories that take you on an adventure… a JOURNEY where you are… ALL IN… fully engaged in the moment or as DEEPAK says — THE PRESENT… a wonderful gift THE PRESENT is, by the way.
There’s nodding and murmuring.
RC THE STORYTELLER
Yeah… so the beauty of stories as journeys… so in the moment you are that… You can’t help BUT let go of whatever’s BOGGING DOWN your head. Ya gotta let it go to have the experience… in essence… you, for a short bit… have the opportunity to escape to a… WONDERLAND of sorts…
More nodding. It appears he’s got everyone’s attention EVEN the troublemaker / LISTENER in the SHADOWS.
He points to Katie who now puts up the SEE.SPOT.RUN. Slide.
RC THE STORYTELLER
Sorry for the long windup… and yes, a transcript will be available for those who want to circle back… But… ONWARD we go!

There’s murmuring as they study the slide. Some move closer.

Cool. Now… I’m going to step you through this AND… we’ll ALL be ready… ME included to find out not only “WHAT. HAPPENS. NEXT”… but also… the STORY er… STORIES behind the story… tangential to the story of HOUDINI HOUND.

It’s quiet and then the JUKEBOX music fades in. It’s playing the WHINE UP instrumental again… where the EARS fill in the lyrics.

Things are winding down @TheSEA as Lady Katie is helping RC the Storyteller pack up and then motions him to join the others…
Those gatherers “humming” to the WIND UP instrumental, made their way over to the SCRUMPTIOUS food truck — a return engagement– emphasis on hand warming FRIES.
UBER DRIVER KIMBA (AKA Happy Barista) has arrived and is carrying a BOAT of fries to share.
KIMBA THE DRIVER
How’d it go? A GOOD night? I had a feelin’…
KATIE
24-Carrot magic in the air, Ms Kimba.
KIMBA THE DRIVER
Yeah?
KATIE
I’ll get you the highlight reel. A shout-out to MANGA he did.
KIMBA THE DRIVER
Cool. I’d kinda having a hard time choosing which to read on my BREAK. DRAGONBALL captures my imagination, but being gifted MASTER TEZUKA’s JUNGLE EMPEROR has me curious … want to check out ASTRO BOY.
KATIE
Did I tell you… I discovered SHONEN JUMP app for the iPAD… and there are two shows on NETFLIX I’m now READING… YA BOY KONGMING only available on KINDLE READER and SAKAMOTO DAYS.
KIMBA THE DRIVER
Wait… That last one sounds familiar…
Kimba pulls out her phone and starts scrolling through her photos.

KATIE

KATIE
No problema, Chica! Got ya covered.
Just then they hear a whistle. Looking towards the street, they see GEAR GUY in his TRUCK.
GEAR GUY
Katie my Lady… need a lift?
KATIE
Yes, and… Come join us for some TWICE COOKED FRIES… and a TASTY BEVERAGE.
He zooms off to park. Katie explains.
KATIE
He was at some sort of FLY-TYING event… gathering… Dropped me off and promised to circle back. My PLAN B was UBERing via…
KIMBA THE DRIVER
Always available for you my friend… Our other FRIENDS too, by the way. Have you seen MR SQUEEK this evening?
KATIE
Probably up the street bustin’ a move. As I said before 24-Carrot magic IS in the air…
KIMBA THE DRIVER
Right… MOVE! WHATCHA GONNA DO? His lyrics work for me.
Her PHONE vibes.
KIMBA THE DRIVER
Looks like… Move I must. A passenger awaits.
She hands Katie what’s left in the BOAT OF FRIES.
KIMBA THE DRIVER
Take those home… TRICE COOK-EM! You know they’ll convection up nicely.
KATIE
Right on! Never turn down FRIES… that’s our policy.
KIMBA THE DRIVER
Go hit up your PAL for a fresh batch. I think he owes you, right?
KATIE
Good call.
Kimba passes Gear Guy on her way to her UBER mobile. She waves her phone, point and trots off.
He nods.
GEAR GUY
Duty calls. Gotcha! Well I’m hearing a batch of FRESH FRIES calling too, right my Lady?
