INT. KATIE’S WESTSIDE HOUSE
KATIE the former Suit, is up at her usual hour, writing in her JOURNAL.
KATIE’S MUSINGS
Well… It’s early and I don’t have to rush anywhere, which is cool. I gotta feeling… actually a good-good feeling that RC had a great session last night. KIMBA messaged me some pictures — those Churros looked yummy and heart-shaped? How cool is that?
Anyway… KEE-RA has been giving me valuable input to feed to RC, which is awesome. Now, with my bonus time…
Katie’s eyes land on the INTER-OFFICE ENVELOPE WITH STRING CLOSURE that mysteriously dropped into her vehicle (via the opened sunroof) when it was parked she in the JEDEMI lot.
KATIE INTERNAL
There’s that…
Katie removes the stapled stack of pages with her name on it and studies. Flipping pages, she sees songs and lyrics. Setting it down, she returns to her MUSINGS.
KATIE’S MUSINGS
Interesting… Katrina and the Waves-Sunshine; Justin Timberlake-Can’t Stop; Beyonce-Love on Top; Paula Abdul-Straight Up… Huh? Lyrics and links to … Karaoke?? If I was my WAY-BACK me right now, I’d think I was I gifted some kind of theme for JedeMic? But… Hmmm…
Standing to stretch, she takes a sip of her beverage and then notices a familiar shape in the corner.
KATIE
What the…? Where did…? How did…?
MR SQUEEK
And a good morning to you, princess. Your Gear Guy let me in. Guess he’s getting used to me.
KATIE
So… I imagine you aren’t here JUST to drink the 4am coffee, am I right?
Correct-a-mundo! Task I have… WE HAVE… which means… we gotta… as Britney says… “WORK-WORK”…
MR SQUEEK

And on cue, a BLUETOOTH SPEAKER [aka JUKEBOX@HOME] near Katie’s writing table comes to life…

KATIE’S MUSINGS
Well… I thought I had the day off but apparently… I need to “work-work”. But… Por que… Why?
As seen in Duckin’ Tales…
She looks up to perhaps get an answer from Mr Squeek when she notices that he has slipped into his Break-Dance persona and is having fun with the “Work-Work” song. Katie watches in amazement.
KATIE
Now I CAN confirm. You are indeed WIRED to breakdance… You’re pretty good, too!
The song ends. Mr Squeek bows and pauses.
KATIE
Uh… whatcha doin’ Sport?
MR SQUEEK
Whoops! On FAIR, when the song ends, it rains tips. Sorry… Lost myself there.
KATIE
No worries. So, let’s circle back. Are ya here to enlighten me about this?
Katie holds up the song list.
MR SQUEEK
Yes… More for… You know… or maybe you don’t … but now WILL know… RC very MUCH needs your help shaping the rest of the HOUDINI HOUND TALE. AND… wait for it… (pauses for dramatic effect)… WE as in YOU and ME get to tag-team… How’s that?
KATIE
Really?
MR SQUEEK
Seems that the Grand Masters at Jedemi have a GP figured out which puts you and me back together; Has that Happy Barista you call… we call KIMBA working closely with RC and your Trail Pal, KEE-RA teaming up with his human, MEREDITH on Duckin’ Adventures.
Katie is scribbling down the connections in her JOURNAL.
KATIE
Hang on… Just jotting it down so I don’t forget the aspired to GP.
He patiently waits (not easy for our WONDER / WANDER KAT BTW–editor)
MR SQUEEK
So basically, I’m your acting RC for a while as we both need to do some diligent work-work bringing HOUDINI HOUND… slash FINN-FINN to life as a proof point of this DING!-THING, got it?
DINGTHING!!
KATIE
Copy that, Mr Squeek.
She gets up to stretch again and then wanders over to where her phone is on the charger. Picking it up, she instinctively swipes and notices a MESSAGE NOTIFICATION. It is from KIMBA.
Hey There! What’s your schedule? Can you meet me @TheSEA?
KIMBA MESSAGE
Hey There! What’s your schedule? Can you meet me @TheSEA?
Katie’s eyebrow scrunch … and she looks closer to see when the message came in.
KATIE
Whoops!
MR SQUEEK
Uh… Whatcha doin’ there, princess?
KATIE
I know you said, WORK-WORK, but… doesn’t this count?
She shows the message to Mr Squeek.
MR SQUEEK
Okay… you get a PASS… for now… as Ms Kimba has … made magic happen @TheSEA with the CHURROS we discovered in THE WORLD OF JOY…
KATIE
Cool! Thanks for understanding.
Sitting back down, Katie rolls into wrapping up her MUSINGS when she speaks before looking up.
KATIE
So… When will I see you again?
It is silent.
KATIE
Huh? Where’d he…? Crap… now I ear-wormed myself.
Just then GEAR GUY enters the room.
GEAR GUY
Mornin, my Lady…
KATIE
You’re up early. Did I wake you? 4am Coffee — beans-a-grindin…?
He shakes his head “No” and smiles…
GEAR GUY
Think you forgot…. We gotta get goin’ if we’re going to be first out.
Katie looks puzzled.
KATIE
Huh?
GEAR GUY
Tee time… That course you’ve been on about. Snagged us a spot that should give YOU… no delays… Just like you LIKE.
KATIE
Do I have time to…
GEAR GUY
Wheels up at…
He points to the clock and motions with his hands.
KATIE
Gotcha… warm body is good. No worries! I’ll be ready!
FADE OUT.
[And with that Ms. Katie quickly shifts gears… For some valuable hang time with her husband, the Gear Guy. And the WORK-WORK will WAIT-WAIT]
