Doogie – 36, writer/editor in the marketing communications department; dabbles in scriptwriting on the side

Julie – 26, market research specialist; first corporate job, determined to make her mark (and climb the ladder)

Gayle – 34, former product marketing manager*, now happily working as a customer support specialist
*In Gayle’s day, the PMM also program managed – since then the roles have been divided.

Fran, Doogie and Julie all work at a technology company (TechCo) in Silicon Valley. Gayle used to work at that company and is now living in Oregon.
