INT. KATIE’S HOME OFFICE
It’s early morning and former suit, Ms KATIE has bounced out of bed and is at her computer early working through an idea. Deep in concentration, she doesn’t notice that her ever present pal, RC the GREMLIN / STORYTELLER has arrived and is observing while sipping away at the 4AM COFFEE.
But RC being RC, can’t stay quiet for long…
He reaches for her empty TRIGGER MUG.
Trigger Mug…
RC THE STORYTELLER
My Lady, a refill? Spurs water or coffee?
A smile comes across her face. She looks up.
KATIE
Too funny. Of course you’re here… Are we recapping or prepping?
Prepping… FORWARD I’m going this day…
RC THE STORYTELLER
Prepping… FORWARD I’m going this day.
KATIE
Cool. Have switched to Spurs, so thanks for asking. When you get back I’ll have finished up here.
DISSOLVE TO:
INT. KATIE’S KITCHEN
RC is in the kitchen and is firing up the electric tea kettle to “activate” the Spurs that Katie desires. She shows up within minutes and takes a seat at her table with her JOURNAL now open.
RC THE STORYTELLER
Huh?
KATIE
Pencils down upstairs. Got that FLO-d out of my head and now… back to my regularly scheduled programming.
RC THE STORYTELLER
Ah! Gotcha! …Though with a twist, yes?
KATIE
Well, you seem to be part of that programming these days.
RC THE STORYTELLER

He puts both their mugs on the kitchen table and pulls up a chair. They both takes sips.

Katie grabs a couple sheet of legal size paper she keeps nearby along with a pen and starts drawing out what she sees her eyes. RC patiently observes while sipping his coffee.
KATIE

Katie stands to stretch, looking at her sketch from a different angle.
KATIE

RC THE STORYTELLER

KATIE

She looks at the CLOCK.
KATIE
Burnin’ daylight. Gotta shift today and bonus minutes used … upstairs on another… DING!THING…

RC jumps up and rinses his mug.

Katie laughs as they both head out.
