AWSI Musings: Pleading the Eleventh…

We introduced the “SNapkin” concept in this post. Here’s another to peruse and ponder.  Enjoy!—The Gang

While flipping through the weekend edition of The Wall Street Journal we paused at a page that had a huge picture of a man who looked like Mike from “Better Call Saul.”

This “Mike” was actually Mr. Sam Zell — a man who is famous for building one of the biggest real-estate empires in the country. He is especially known for turning around distressed properties and troubled assets. The story coincided with the release of his book titled: “Am I Being Too Subtle?” where he shares the ups and downs of his career and the lessons he’s learned in business.

AWSI, the “11th Commandment” —not taking oneself too seriously, is brilliant. A great reminder for us all.

We also like how he said that a successful person always says “no problem” when faced with a challenge or difficult request.

We heart Mr. Zell!

And there’s more! Doc wanted to make sure we mention a good example of the 11th — The William Murray golf collection (as seen in the Style section of the New York Times).

Check these out. Definitely clothing with attitude. Plus, check out this notable quotable:

Yup, these gentlemen are onto something.

And The Enchanted Jukebox Sez…

Probably not a surprise, we have a song that was featured in that “don’t take yourself too seriously on the golf course” movie, “Happy Gilmore.”

Thanks for reading!
