We introduced the “SNapkin” concept in this post. Here’s another to peruse and ponder. Enjoy!—The Gang
Again, the Wall Street Journal amazed us with its front page (AHED) story about a lucky toaster owned by a fan of the Golden State Warriors basketball team.
He is Ronnie Reyes and apparently, the NBA team has had a nice run of wins that can be tied to that particular toaster.
Per the Journal:
The lucky toaster is being kept in Mr. Reyes’s bedroom—in its original box—while he looks for a worthier display case. He breaks it out in case of emergencies. He fetched it when the Warriors were down by more than 20 points to the Spurs in March. The Warriors rallied to win. And he rubbed the toaster while watching on TV at home when the Warriors were down by more than 20 points to the Spurs last Sunday. The Warriors rallied to win again.
We checked out Ronnie’s twitter page / tweets and are declaring him the poster dude for tenacity.
AWSI, this is an inspirational story that crosses lines and generations. You don’t have to be an NBA fan or in Mr. Reyes’s age group to appreciate what he has done. And we had fun with the related connections which we hope you’ll enjoy.
We’ll be watching closely to see how “The Dubs” do in their playoff run this year.
