Thinking in Threes: New Ad Campaign for Vodka Moves Beyond the Bottle

There’s a new ad campaign hitting the airwaves during sporting events that may actually cause viewers to hit pause and rewind on their DVRs. It is for Three Olives Vodka of the UK (imported from England). There are several spots making the rounds care of Los Angeles-based M&C Saatchi.

Featuring stylish animation with a Euro feel, the ads play off the classic “Three guys walk into a bar…” line to connect two things that go together so naturally: good times and Three Olives Vodka. The animation comes by way of British artist and illustrator Ant Blades of Bird Box Studios.

A story in Media Post’s Marketing Daily, states the ads are targeting male drinkers in their 20s. I’d say they are suitable for all audiences of vodka drinkers. What I especially liked was how fun they were with or without audio (If you workout in a gym or watch a game at a sports bar, you know that silent viewing happens).
