INT. GEAR GUY’S SHED
It didn’t take long for Tommie to settle into his experiment. This particular one leveraged the THUNK item AND the item he had Frankie retrieve (LAY-FLAT IPPO MANGA).
FRANKIE is now playing the role of lab assistant and documentarian.
FRANKIE
So T, that’s what THUNKED? An iPhone??
Tommie nods, but stays locked in leaving Frankie to figure out for himself what’s going on.
FRANKIE
Well… Somehow it passed the drop test because… Look at him go!
While sort of mesmerized and also capturing images using his RAZR, his attention shifts in the direction of the doorway as the Shed has become awash in light yet there’s no sound.
Frankie kicks into gear.
FRANKIE
Huh? Boy home? Thought he was…
Frankie starts darting around in an attempt to conceal Tommie’s various activities.
FRANKIE
We’re so busted…
The flurry of activity stops when a calming voice is heard.
…Slow down, buddy… It’s me… Just curious me…
FRANNIE
Slow down, buddy… It’s me… Just curious me…
Frankie stops in his tracks and a smile crosses his face.
FRANKIE
Whew! That’s comforting. I really didn’t want to break his train of…
FRANNIE
Concentration? Gotcha!
They both look over to see what he’s doing, when suddenly Tommie looks up.
FRANKIE
Whoops!
FRANNIE
Whoops! So much for that!
Tommie motions them both to come over and he hands the iPhone to Frannie and with a series of pantomimed gestures, directs her while he points to Frankie to capture the activity using the RAZR.
Within seconds, there’s a universal “AHA!”

Taking in what they’ve witnessed, Frankie and Frannie look at each other and then over at Tommie who’s grinning and nodding.

Opens up a lot of possibilities. How…?
FRANKIE

Looking in the direction of where Tommie was standing, they notice he vanished.
FRANNIE
Where’d he…?
FRANKIE
Napping… Probably… He disappears from time to time… for quick little…
Just then flickering light can be seen from another area in the Shed, so they move to investigate.
FRANKIE
Looks like Tommie’s giving you the tour.
Indeed, Tommie has removed the sheet covering the PLAYSTATION setup.
Up Close…
FRANNIE
Wow!
FRANKIE
Can you believe? Abandoned in a box, he just resuscitated it. Just needs orange power cord run from the house and then…
Before Frankie completes his sentence, Tommie who had momentarily disappeared, returns with the LITTLE 8849 PROJECTOR box.
Projector 8849 [AKA Magic 3by3]…
FRANNIE
What’s he…?
FRANKIE
Looks like another retrieval mission, right T?
The Next Mission…
And again, Tommie persistently motions towards the house, removing the RAZR from Frankie’s hands and giving it to Frannie. Then he motions to SWIPE.
FRANNIE
Okay…
What Frannie sees is a series of pictures -Surveillance style. Frankie joins her to study and interpret.
FRANKIE
Ah! Interesting… Totally makes sense…
Frankie points to the 8849.
FRANKIE
We’ve been using various mobile devices to feed video into the 8849 to project — potentially– on the side of this SHED and eventually over on FAIR, where MR SQUEEK (Wonder/ Wander, Wander/Wonder kat) does his break dancing routine.
FRANNIE
Uh… Okay…
FRANKIE
This needs USB-C 3 point O… The devices here won’t play and we even tried with the SLABBY THING… Not ideal.
FRANNIE
So he wants…?
FRANKIE
From the looks of it… That’s a NEO… and its up in KATIE’s office.
He wants the NEO…
FRANNIE
So we’re retrieving the NEO?
FRANKIE
Yes and… putting back the iPhone before Ms Katie looks for it.
FRANNIE
Back on the charger. Which I guess means.
Motioning to the IPPO manga.
Lay Flat Manga…
FRANKIE
Yup. Experiment done. Pictures taken. Gotta return that too.
She turns to Tommie or at least where she last saw Tommie.
FRANKIE
NOW for sure he’s napping. No more to show today UNLESS…
FRANNIE
Well… I want to see if the 8849 plays nicely with the NEO.
FRANKIE
Let’s …
