Some Background:
Did you ever wonder why a song popped into your head seemingly out of nowhere, yet was quite appropriate for the occasion? Or perhaps a thought sprung to mind that made you smile and say to yourself, “of course!”
In a very special café owned by a very special lady, spirits from the past arrived on a mission to ignite the imagination and enable the creative spirit which resides in all of us. The Jedemi Chronicles are a series of stories which capture the adventures of these spirits as they interact with the various people they encounter at the café – including its owner, Viv.
This episode is where Viv first finds out about the spirits and their connection to an enchanted jukebox which has come into her possession.

Introducing the Jedemi Chronicles:
These are a series of stories about spirits from the past who arrive at a café (The Jedemi Café) with a mission:
To provide context, clues and connections that ignite the imagination and enable creativity which leads to more fulfilling and authentic life experiences.
Jedemi Café, owned by Viv, is very much like the “Third Places” written about by Ray Oldenburg. He calls one’s “first place” the home and those that one lives with. The “second place” is the workplace — where people may actually spend most of their time. Third places, then, are “anchors” of community life and facilitate and foster broader, more creative interaction. Viv has established a very welcoming and accepting environment (culture) at Jedemi where the use of imagination and creativity is encouraged. Plus, Viv is a proactive host/owner who loves connecting people to other people with similar interests and backgrounds.
Spirits? Jedemi’s spirits, who have taken on a unique form factor, lived in the same general period of time (turn of the 20th century). It is possible that they knew of each other or were exposed to the same influences. Common traits include being empathic listeners and excellent storytellers. Plus, they all used their imagination, skills and creativity to push the envelope in the fields they were pursuing. These spirits provide both historical perspective as well as wisdom garnered from the interactions that they had with people in similar (relevant situations) from the past.
