The iPod nano 16G is pretty amazing. In fact, I’d say Apple hit it out of the ballpark with this 6th generation which has the same Multi-Touch screen as the iPhone and iPod Touch.
The nano is way cute too! It boasts a 1.5-inch 240-by-240 pixel resolution display without much additional border. The official spec claims:
Height: 1.48 inches (37.5 mm)
Width: 1.61 inches (40.9 mm)
Depth: 0.35 inch (8.78 mm)
Weight: 0.74 ounces (21.1 grams)
I’d say with something this tiny, the biggest issue would be not to lose it. The nano has a built-in clip which should help keep it inlace.
Apple being Apple, there are seven color options available on their sleek anodized casings: silver, graphite, blue, green, orange and pink.
For input and output, it has a built-in 30-pin connector that easily connects the iPod nano to a car stereo, home speakers and on other iPod accessories. There is also a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack.
Apple’s packaging is legendary. They are known for their simplicity, consistency, quality and ease of use.
I’d compare the presentation to Japanese product packaging design.
Here is an unboxing video so you can experience it for yourself.
